SIZ – IT Products and Consulting

SIZ was originally established as a central IT competence centre for the German savings bank organisation. Today, SIZ offers innovative IT products and consulting services to customers in the financial domain and a range of other industrial sectors. In addition to individual consulting services, our portfolio includes the provision of complete IT solutions and their implementation at the customer site. Our core competences are online and electronic banking, (smart) card technologies, business partner integration, compliance services, and security technologies.

Our Portfolio

For many years, the experts at SIZ have been setting benchmarks for sustainable IT infrastructures and security standards in the corporate finance domain. Our IT security product "Secure IT Operation" has established itself as the de facto standard for the entire German savings bank finance group, and is continually being developed to incorporate the demands made by changes in certification needs, business continuity planning and the entire field of enterprise consulting.

SIZ is closely involved in the development of the EBICS, SEPA and FinTS (HBCI) electronic banking standards. Our superior expertise in standardisation issues is also incorporated in our other future-proof electronic banking products.

The Company

Since its foundation in 1990, SIZ has worked continually to promote IT standardisation within the German savings bank finance group.

Since 2003, SIZ has actively broadened its customer base, and now offers its IT products and consulting services to companies outside the financial sector.

Our 70 employees generate an annual turnover of €15m and a consistently positive company balance.

Our customers include:

• IT service providers, state banks and their associated organisations, and many financial institutions belonging to the German savings bank finance group
• Private and commercial banks, IT service providers in the co-operative financial sector, insurance companies and the Zentraler Kreditausschuss (ZKA) – the central committee for the German banking industry’s professional association
• Payment card organisations, service providers for payment transactions and leading IT suppliers
• Other industrial clients with high IT dependency
