Consulting
Standardisation Expertise
SIZ has made a name for itself as a competence centre for the specification of payment transaction and electronic banking standards. The German ZKA (Zentraler Kreditausschuss) as well as numerous other financial institutions make regular use of its consulting and training services.
For many years, the ZKA has trusted the central coordination of its "Customer Remote Data Transfer" programme (and especially EBICS) to SIZ.
The core tasks are as follows:
- Continual updating of the general specification
- Coordination of the change request process
- Provision of a comprehensive EBICS web presence
- To provide a central point of contact for all enquiries concerning EBICS and RDT
The ZKA also uses SIZ and its specialist know-how for various projects involved in the development of its FinTS (HBCI) online banking standard.
SIZ is in a position to provide its electronic banking standards and security expertise to other customers and projects. The DSGV (Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband) has, for example, contracted SIZ to manage its central "Online Banking Security" project.
SIZ is involved in various projects supporting the DSGV’s IT strategy implementation for the entire German savings bank finance group. SIZ supports the DSGV in standardisation issues (EBICS and FinTS), as well as in issues surrounding the upcoming SEPA standard.
We offer our customers the chance to share our SEPA know-how in the form of training sessions encompassing SEPA file formats and the SEPA customer/bank and bank/bank interfaces.
These courses include background information on the ZKA specifications, the ISO UNIFI standard, the appropriate SEPA implementation guidelines and the XML schema specifications. The necessary XML basics are also included in the course, and sample exercises are used to further clarify the course content.
For savings banks affiliated to the Sparkassenorganisation, our courses can be conducted in cooperation with the organisation’s regional academies or individually at the customer site.
